About Ironridge
We started as a concrete crew and never lost the habit of doing the work ourselves. Twenty-seven years later, that is still what separates us from the firms that only manage paper.

Our story
Ironridge Construction began in 1998 with two trucks, a form crew and a reputation for pouring flat floors on schedule. General contractors kept asking us to take on more scope, and eventually it made more sense to carry the whole job than to keep fixing other people’s sequencing.
That origin still shapes how we operate. We self-perform the concrete and rough carpentry on most of our work, which means the activities that control the critical path are staffed by employees, not by whoever a subcontractor could spare that week. When a schedule tightens, we add crews instead of sending a letter explaining the delay.
Today we deliver commercial, healthcare, industrial, education and civil projects across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico, with a preconstruction group that prices work the way it actually gets built. Most of what we build each year comes from an owner we have already worked with.
Milestones
We grew by taking on work we were ready for, one capability at a time. Nothing here happened by acquisition.
Founded in Denver as a concrete subcontractor working tenant improvements and small commercial pads.
Moved into general contracting on a 40,000 square foot flex building and never subcontracted our concrete again.
Built a dedicated healthcare group after our first occupied-hospital renovation, and added public works bidding.
Opened satellite operations in Cheyenne and Salt Lake City to support industrial clients across four states.
How we operate
A budget that moves late is worse than a budget that hurts early. We price the job we actually see, including the risk nobody wants to name at the kickoff meeting.
Self-performing concrete and carpentry means the work that drives the schedule is staffed by people who answer to us, not to a subcontractor’s other job.
Assumptions, allowances, exclusions and decisions all get documented the day they are made. Nobody should be reconstructing intent from memory at closeout.
Safety planning is scheduled work with real hours attached. Crews that feel rushed make the mistakes that cost weeks.
Clean job sites, respectful neighbors, honest hours. Owners hear about how we behaved on their block long after the ribbon is cut.
Punch lists get closed, documents get delivered and the 11-month walk gets scheduled without the owner having to chase us for it.
Leadership
You will meet the people who will actually run your job at the interview, and they will still be on it at closeout.

Founded the company in 1998 after fifteen years running concrete crews across the Front Range.

Oversees field operations, preconstruction and the self-perform divisions across all four states.

Leads estimating and target-value design. Twenty-two years of Mountain West trade pricing in his head.

Built our pre-task planning program and runs training for every field employee, every quarter.
Send us your program and schedule. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right builder for it, even when the answer is no.
